Hospitality
Helping hotels and restaurants create experiences that attract guests before they arrive.
We work with hotels, lodges, camps and restaurants across Tanzania, businesses where the website is usually the first impression and often the deciding one.
Hospitality is judged before arrival
A guest forms an opinion of your property long before check-in, and they form it from photographs, a room description and whatever they can find about how you handle problems. If the site feels careless, they assume the property is too. That judgement is unfair and it is also completely reliable.
The reverse is equally true. A property that presents itself clearly and honestly online arrives with the guest already predisposed to like it, which changes everything from review scores to how forgiving people are when something goes wrong.
The commission question
Booking platforms brought you reach, and for a new property that is genuinely valuable. The trouble is that the arrangement never stops charging. Commission applies to guests who would have found you anyway, and to returning guests who already know exactly who you are.
What makes it worse is how often the guest has already been on your own website first. They looked you up, read about the rooms, then returned to the platform to book because that felt easier and safer. You paid commission on a guest you had already convinced.
The work is not to leave the platforms. It is to make sure the guest who is already looking at your own site has no reason to go back. Clear room information, a booking or enquiry step that feels safe, and a reason to book direct that is not a discount you cannot afford. See hotel and lodge website design for how we build that.
Restaurants have a shorter, sharper problem
Restaurant decisions are made in minutes, usually on a phone, often by someone already out of the house. The questions are simple and unforgiving: are you open, where exactly are you, what does the food cost, and is there anything I can eat.
An out-of-date menu, a PDF that will not open on a phone, or opening hours that contradict the ones on your map listing will lose the table. Most restaurant websites fail on exactly these points while carrying an elaborate homepage animation nobody asked for.
Photography earns its keep here
In hospitality the photographs are the product, not decoration. They also weigh more than anything else on the page, and a beautiful gallery that takes eight seconds to load is worse than a small one that appears instantly.
We handle this properly: modern formats, correctly sized versions per device, galleries that stay fast with hundreds of images, and a first view that renders immediately even on a weak connection. You upload what you have and the site does the rest.
Reviews and reputation
Reviews influence bookings more than any design decision you will make, and they cannot be bought, only earned and then asked for consistently. What a website can do is make asking easy, surface the reviews you already have where they matter, and make sure your details are identical everywhere they appear online, because inconsistent listings quietly suppress your visibility in local results.

Let’s create something that makes your customers choose you
Your competitors are already online. The real question is whether they are being remembered more than you.
